Local missions
We get out beyond the walls of our church buildings and serve our neighborhoods and friends in need. Whether it's helping with local philanthropic organizations like Macon New Beginnings or Habitat for Humanity, or mentoring students at Mountain View Intermediate School, you'll find FUMC at work in our community. Find out how you can serve with us!
Annual Bazaar for Missions
Our Bazaar takes over the Macon County Fairgrounds in late July with thousands of treasures looking for new homes. A great time of treasure hunting and fellowship, our flagship fundraiser has brought in over $600,000 over the last 30 years, providing funds for local, regional, national, and global mission work.
The Skatepark
Currently, our Skatepark is being leased by the town for open skate.
Serve and Share Garden
Committed to addressing the hunger issue in our county, our garden is an incubator for those who wish to grow their own food.
CareNet of Macon County
We are a faithful supporter of CareNet, a food ministry serving Macon County. We have fundraisers, take up donations, provide through our Share & Serve Garden, and encourage volunteer opportunities. CareNet offers food through its Client Choice food pantry, school backpack program, and soup cafe.
Outreach Center (OC)
The OC is used for the meeting place for multiple community organizations as well as FUMC groups. Whether its a music group, support group, or a fundraiser, we share our resources and building space.
We provide used medical equipment for those in need. Walkers, rollators, wheelchairs, canes, shower chairs and more are available. Donations of equipment are accepted. The medical equipment are loaned out for three month intervals with renewals permitted on an as needed basis. Complete the initial form here and a member of the staff will contact you.
