Sunday School at First United Methodist Church begins at 9:45 a.m. We would love to see you there! Just click here for directions! Child care is provided in the nursery during this time and continues through Worship Service until 12:15 p.m.
Infants, Children’s & Youth Classes
Youth Sunday School—The Blaine House (6th - 12th Grades) Students explore the wonder and wisdom of God’s Word and discover how they can apply it to their daily lives.
Adult Classes
Agape Class - G4 This is a Bible Study class for all ages. We are studying the life and ministry of Jesus Christ. This study leads to discussion on current issues. We enjoy good fellowship. Everyone is welcome.
Compass Class—G-7 The class learns from scripture and related writings, discusses daily life applications and focuses on developing a more personal relationship with God and others through prayer and fellowship, for those in their 20s and 30s but all are welcome.
Discovery Class - G12 The Discovery Class has an open, lively discussion-oriented format with shared leadership on a variety of issues. We also use the Upper Room’s daily readings as discussion topics. We are adults ages 35 and up.
Open Discussion Class - G2 As the name implies, this class is built among open and free discussion. Several members share in leadership in a mutually supportive atmosphere that encourages participation by everyone. Subjects for study are selected from books and other resources recommended by class members. All ages are welcome.
Still Searching Class - G1 This class is dedicated to the search for God’s will in our daily living. The fellowship is Still Searching through the study of scripture on how we might be fully human, total in loving, and being all that God desires us to be.
Wesleyan Fellowship Class - G3 The Wesleyan Fellowship Sunday School Class is organized for adults, mostly seniors, who are interested in the Bible. Teaching is shared among several members who take regular turns in the preparation of the lessons. The class utilizes interpretative United Methodist materials, focusing on the International Lesson Series. Class members are provided a student quarterly magazine.
The Chapel - G6 We are blessed with a beautiful little Chapel that is open anytime the church buildings are open for anyone. It is a tranquil, beautiful place for quiet meditation. The “Prayer Group” meets in the Chapel every Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. for Intercessory Prayer. |
